Generations Federal Credit Union has announced it will open five branches in various H-E-B Grocery stores throughout San Antonio and Bexar County. The Generations/H-E-B in-store branches are currently scheduled to open on March 1, 2012.
“Generations strives to be a truthful financial advocate for our members, and a significant aspect of that is convenience and availability. This relationship with H-E-B will enable us to reach out to our members and to the community at large and be a financial resource as they go about their selfsame busy lives,” stated Christine Voigt, primary operations officer at Generations Federal Credit Union.
The Generations branches will be located inside the following H-E-B locations:
1) Store #566, 24165 IH-10 West (IH-10 and Leon Springs);
2) Store #397, 18140 San Pedro (1604 and 281);
3) Store #235, 9225 FM 417 (Grissom and Tezel);
4) Store #463, 1150 North Loop 1604 West (1604 and Blanco);
5) Store #5 10718 Potranco (1604 and Potranco).
All Generations H-E-B retail locations will be full-service branches where members and potential members will be able to open accounts, request debit cards and apply for loans, among other services. Branch hours will be Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and all branches will be closed on Sundays. Anyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers or attends school in Bexar County, as well as family of current members, are eligible for membership.

Question by awill110: How can I get my credit card company to report account information? I got my credit report today and it shows that my total credit amount is $ 300 and I have $ 296 available. After further inspection I noticed that only one credit teased had reported a credit limit/max balance and that all of my credit cards hadn’t been reported since April. Is there an effective way to contact the credit card companion and get them to report accurate and up to date information to the credit bureaus? I feel that this publishing is affecting my credit score, so I would care to fix this.Thanks in advance.

The NFEC Releases a ‘Fake Student Credit Card’ to Teach Personal Finance Lessons to College Students.

The National Financial Educators Council announces the release of the Student Experience Card, a phoney credit card application that provides a lurid fiscal education. As I tried to get my refund, I found out it was fake and was very relieved. From now on I will always read everything that I am applying for.”
The NFECs’ Student Experience Card was designed to take students on a ‘emotional learning rollercoaster’ to facilitate long-term changes in behavior. Leveraging negative emotions like fear and regret can make a lasting impact on those that go through the application process. This unique method of teaching personal finance has been found by the NFEC to be effective in improving retention rates and improving peer-to-peer discussions of financial matters.

Question by sweetie090: Where can I get a credit card that will guarentee approval? I have been applying for credit cards everywhere and it seems that since I have no credit that I won’t be approved for one. Well the whole point in me getting one is so that I can BUILD credit. I have looked at EVERYTHING, including student credit cards and cards that are “beginner cards” and don’t seem to be having any luck. I would prefer a VISA, MasterCard or a Discover card. Where can I apply for a credit card where I can GUARANTEE that I will be approved.But I want one that doesn’t have an annual fee. I don’t care how high the interest rates are since I will always pay everything rearward now (again, this is just so I tin start to build some credit).

Answer by Ben Not sure what you are trying to ask, but well, yes, credit cards are unsecured loans given to individuals.
The bank of issuance of the credit card would just require your photocopy identity card and i believe your salary statement for the previous 3 months. If you already have a credit card in hand for at least a year, they might just photocopy your identity card along with your existing credit card.
The reason why they can provide instant approval is that they will perform a quick checking with the banks combined database. And if you’re not defaulting in huge debts, viola, u get your credit card.
