Article by Wajali Jahiala

No matter what reason you have for applying for credit, you do need to be aware of the legal aspects that you are binding yourself to. If you are looking for guaranteed approval credit cards although you already have a poor payback history, there is help available to you.

Recently, with the credit crises that loomed over our heads and with the financial crises that upset the markets, more and more people are faced to seek alternative credit facilities. So be vigilant in your quest for credit and make sure you are not drawn into unreasonable interest charges.

If it’s a good online provider, then you need to ask them some questions like; do you have an enrollment fee? Also ask if they have any emergency benefits. Ensure that the current interest rate is not exorbitant which will max you out in no time.

It is said that once you start paying on a bad credit card, then your credit rating will start improving as well. You see every month your status is sent to the big credit bureaus who in twist keep records of everyone in the country who has credit. This information is on a grid system which connects credit providers to this information.

When you are ready then to apply for a normal credit card again, the provider will be automatically connected to the bureau and see what your status is. If you want to get yourself back on the main stream of credit card companies, then make your payments on time and do not pay less than the minimum stated. If you pay just one day tardily, then this will be logged and your rating goes downwardly.

Once you are certain that you want to apply for another credit card, you tin start comparing different options available to you. You tin apply online and normally you will know within a few hours or sometimes minutes, if your application was successful.

Guaranteed approval credit cards can be a life saver in times of extreme need. You make the smart choice and get your life back on track.

IBISWorld Market Research

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 05, 2012

The Credit Card Issuing industry has not fared well during the five years to 2012, as market saturation, unfavorable regulation and poor economic conditions hammered revenue. The industry took an one-two punch from the economic recession, with high unemployment, falling home prices and contracting credit prompting credit card use to decline and delinquency rates to rise. As a result, revenue is expected to fall at an average annual rate of 4.0% to $ 50.8 billion in the five years to 2012. From 2007 through 2010, a decline in revolving credit and higher delinquency rates caused a dramatic rise in loan loss provisions, which are funds set aside to cover debt that cannot be collected; currently, they absorb 26.3% of revenue, which is down slightly from a high in 2009. “Increasing unemployment, high consumer debt, falling property prices and in some cases, negative equity, have driven the rise in charge-offs and delinquencies,” said IBISWorld industry analyst Eben Jose. Consequently, demand for credit cards suffered and consumer spending declined over the period, as uncertainty in the economic environment caused people to spend less and save more. Contrary to this trend, revenue and profit improved in 2011 as the unemployment rate decreased, consumer spending increased and loan loss provisions decreased in line with the improving economy. As a result, industry revenue is expected to increase 3.8% in 2012, after an increase of 3.9% in 2011.

As the economy continues to recover, renewed consumer and business confidence will encourage people to spend more. The level of discretionary spending will return as the unemployment rate falls, and credit card issuing companies will likely profit in the process. The rise of online and mobile commerce and the ongoing trend away from cash represent opportunities for industry growth. Consumers and businesses will increasingly use credit cards in their daily transactions, and the number of cards issued is forecast to rise as companies increase rewards benefits. IBISWorld projects that prosperous times lie ahead for the industry, with revenue expected to grow over the five years to 2017. Profit margins are also expected to increase, as more consumers will be able to make their payments, decreasing loan loss provisions further.

The concentration of the Credit Card Issuing industry in the United States is high, with the four largest players accounting for 84.4% of the market. JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Citigroup, and American Express dominate the industry, but the issuance of credit cards is generally concentrated among the largest six firms. The other two firms that make up the top six players include Capital One and Discover Card. According to Jose, industry concentration has increased substantially over the five years to 2012, as merchants’ freedom to refuse certain higher-fee cards and banks’ freedom to issue any type of credit card, have generated new alliances in the industry. Mergers and acquisitions over the past five years have also led to greater concentration. IBISWorld expects further consolidation to occur, as more mergers and acquisitions occur in the coming years and major players acquire smaller market share issuers.
Manchester (PRWEB) April 27, 2012

All the scams they examined had one overriding objective – to relieve property investors of their hard earned cash.

The OFT believes that some £1 billion a year is lost through stings involving telemarketing, non-existent prize draws, pyramid schemes, credit scams and ‘get rich quick’ property swindles. Many of these scams have their origin overseas, so the chance of victims getting their money back is too remote to quantify and in most cases it has proved impossible to detect the abusers or to prosecute them.

Typically, property scams involve would-be investors attending presentations – often with the lure of free goodies – and they are then subjected to a hard-sell patter, sometimes lasting several hours, before being relieved of thousands of pounds. Some scams pledge the release of ‘insider secrets’ via a training course to achieve wealth through property dealing; others draw their victims in with an opportunity to buy properties at a discount, often before they are built (and of course, they are all too often NEVER built).

One of the more common schemes involves the promise of full supervision and management for buy-to-let investment. It is not unusual for the swindle to include claims of high yields, professional tenants, free mortgage arrangements and total administration of the project. In practice, the properties sourced are usually near derelict and tenants non-existent.

A representative at the OFT commented: ‘Scammers are resourceful, enterprising and manipulative. By exploiting the same routes to market as legitimate business, they damage not only individual consumers, but the interests of fair trading businesses as well.’

The OFT put the following advice out to consumers:

· If in doubt about a caller – hang up.

· Never send money to receive a prize.

· Never give retired private financial information.

· Be extremely cautious about unsolicited investments.

· Sign nothing – agree to nothing – and always get the opinion of an independent financial adviser before handing over or agreeing to hand concluded any money.

· If it sounds too good to be true – it probably is!

Fraudsters are increasingly using the Internet as a vehicle to ensnare their victims. Investors should ensure their access to the Internet is fully protected. Personal computers should have adequate firewall security installed and – as difficult as it may be – no personal financial data (bank account numbers, credit card details, etc) should be stored on your PC. Experienced scammers can gain access to this information without you knowing about it – until it is too late.

Do not reply to unsolicited emails no matter how tempting they may be – by doing so you could unwittingly supply a potential scammer with your personal details. Instead, simply block it and delete it!

The government funded information scheme, ‘Consumer Direct’, is run by the DTI and offers clear and concise advice for those presented with a property investment scheme that seems too good to be true. It asks you to STOP and THINK … and then ask yourself these questions:

· Was the promotion unsolicited?

· Does it look too good to be true?

· Do I have to respond ‘at once’ – what’s the rush?

· Do I have to give my bank or credit card details?

· Am I asked to held the offer/promotion confidential?

· Can I afford to lose the money being asked for?

Consumer Direct suggest taking legal or professional advice before parting with any money, because once it has been sent the chances are it will never be seen again. They also provide the following guide, which should help prevent consumers becoming the latest victims of property investment scams:

· Ask for the name of the person speaking to and whom they represent.

· Take notes of conversations, including dates, times, names and important points.

· Ask for an explanation of anything not implied.

· Read letters carefully and seek professional help (for example, from an accountant or solicitor) when significant money, time or responsibilities are involved.

· Check whether a company is bona fide, contact Companies House or the Financial Services Authority.

· Independently verify any claims made by a sales person, investment advisor or advertisement.

· Make sure that any company complies with the applicable legislation (in the UK, all companies must be registered with Companies House).

· Only do business with companies known and trusted.

· Make sure all the term and conditions of any offer made are fully understood.

· Take time before making any decision.

· Don’t provide ANY financial or early financial or other personal information before establishing whether a company is logical.

· Understand and monitor all investments and ask frequent questions and map out financial goals before you meet with a financial planner.

· Don’t judge the credibility of a company or sales person by how ‘professional’ they or their promotional material or website might seem.

· Don’t fall for high-pressure sales tactics.

· Don’t let embarrassment or fear prevent the reporting of fraud or abuse to the earmark authorities.

· Don’t ever be afraid to ask questions. In fact, the more questions asked, the better.

· If you ever consider you are being target by a scam operator or desire further advice, call Consumer Direct on 08454 040506.

Remote buy-to-let investment plans can appear very attractive. They succeed by convincing investors that they know the area better than anyone, they know property valuing best than anyone and they have more knowledge and experience than anyone. But they may have none of these qualities – just the gift of talking fast and convincingly!

When considering investing in property through a ‘investment agent’ claiming to operate some maintain away, make the effort to move to the proposed region – check out the offices of the company, considering the property in question, arrange a survey, check documentation with a solicitor and get answers to all questions.

My Golden Rule for anyone thinking of investing in property: Never accept any advice or information supplied at face value. Deal only with people who tinning be trusted – and an agency office that has a solid door, so you can walk through it to inquire pertinent questions and receive proper answers.

Scams targeting property investors are becoming more prevalent and although scheme showed can appear alluring and plausible, very few ever achieve their promise.

Think carefully before parting with ANY money and investigate the company concerned thoroughly. Don’t get caught out!

Article by Oh No! College Students? Credit Cards? Do they Mix?

It’s almost June and you are already thinking of the fall college season.
Do I send my child to college with their own credit card?
Well, they are responsible and I know they would only use it in an emergency. So, Yes, I will.
Waite! Stop! Do you really think so?
Late nights, hunger pains, a new outfit, room decorations etc..
They are all such small expenditures and boy, do they ADD UP Quickly.
Following are some Quick Tips based upon my 20 plus years in the credit restoration business. Some of which were spent at TransUnion, one of the exceeding 3 major impute reporting agencies.
Get a Student Credit Card
They cater to college students and offer all kinds of incentives
Never pay an Annual Fee
It’s all negotiable. Competition is fierce among credit card issuers and if a fee is posted, more times than not, they will waive it. You might have to call yearly to request it and its worth doing so.

Credit Card Companies Have to Make Money
Remember that. You could be charged for anything. A late payment, an express payment, an internet payment, over limit fee, yearly fees, promotions etc.
Only Use your Credit Card in an Emergency
(Life threatening, not a fashion, decorating or food emergency)
This take will driving when you see others using plastic for everything. Don’t be strike. Most of these people mortgage assigned of money and dwell threw their credit cards.
Build Exceptional Credit
Set up an automatic bill payment using your credit card. Like your cell phone bill. Pay it in full monthly and on time. The key to exceptional credit.
Never, Ever Carry a Balance
It’s the beginning of the end. High interest rates worry, late payments, credit begins to decline.
Be Aware of Promotional Credit Cards
Once you receive your student credit card, other offers will follow. Credit card companies will send you the actual credit card as part of the offer.
DO NOT BE TEMPTED
We only need 2 credit cards…American Express and a revolving charge card.

Know when you are Not Ready
It’s like being on a diet. You cannot walk into a pastry shop or for me a Dunkin Donuts shop when I am really focusing on my diet. It’s too tempting so I chose to stay away.

Article by Kevin Wynn

<p class=”MsoNormal” style=”margin: 0in 0in 0pt;”><span style=”font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;”>These days it pays – sometimes quite literally – to have a good and solid credit history.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> </span>You want your credit rating to be as high and as stable as possible.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> </span>Each one of us should endeavor to make sure that this happens, but sometimes it is simply easier said than done.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> </span>Things happen, circumstances beyond our control occur, and unfortunately it is thus all too easy to wind up with a poor credit rating.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> </span>Being approved for one or more cards may be able to help you – but first, let us take a look at why that is so.</span>

<p class=”MsoNormal” style=”margin: 0in 0in 0pt;”><span style=”font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;”> </span>
<p class=”MsoNormal” style=”margin: 0in 0in 0pt;”><span style=”font-size: small;”><span style=”font-family: Times New Roman;”>To put it quite simply, bad credit happens.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> </span>It can happen to any of us, sometimes through poor financial habits and sometimes through no fault of our own.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> </span>The bad part is that when your credit history or rating goes down, it takes a lot of other aspects right down with it.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> </span></span></span>
<p class=”MsoNormal” style=”margin: 0in 0in 0pt;”><span style=”font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;”> </span>
<p class=”MsoNormal” style=”margin: 0in 0in 0pt;”><span style=”font-size: small;”><span style=”font-family: Times New Roman;”>At the present time, it can be difficult to get by without a credit card.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> </span>At the very least, you need a debit card, since so much of the world seems to thrive on plastic.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> </span>You can almost see the rampant impatience of store clerks and people like that when you try to pay with cash, and just forget about paying with a check, that simply does not happen any longer.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> </span></span></span>
<p class=”MsoNormal” style=”margin: 0in 0in 0pt;”><span style=”font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;”> </span>
<p class=”MsoNormal” style=”margin: 0in 0in 0pt;”><span style=”font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;”>When you apply for a credit card, many things are considered, including your credit history and your current credit rating.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> </span>One of the biggest considerations is how much money you make.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> </span>Your income will be tallied up against your available credit.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> </span>That is because credit card companies and banks need to be sure that you will be able to pay your credit card bills.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> </span>Then again, if you have a poor credit history, then the odds are very high that your credit card application will be turned down as a matter of course.</span>
<p class=”MsoNormal” style=”margin: 0in 0in 0pt;”><span style=”font-size: little; font-family: Times New Roman;”> </span>
<p class=”MsoNormal” style=”margin: 0in 0in 0pt;”><span style=”font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;”>That is where guaranteed approval credit cards can come in handy, but you have to be extremely careful here.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> </span>You see, these cards can be offered even if you do have either bad credit or a poor credit history.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> </span>It is even possible to get a highly coveted gold card in spite of your credit, at least in some instances.</span>
<p class=”MsoNormal” style=”margin: 0in 0in 0pt;”><span style=”font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;”> </span>
<p class=”MsoNormal” style=”margin: 0in 0in 0pt;”><span style=”font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;”>The important thing to remember here is that you have to be sure you are going to be able to pay your bills and that you will not garner even more credit card debt.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> </span>A guaranteed approval credit card is an excellent way to strengthen and even reestablish your credit history, but only if you are going to be able to use it responsibly.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> </span>If you let interest pile up, continuously miss your payment due dates and make payments let, then your credit rating will continue to be aversely affected.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> </span>That is, of course, not going to help you at all.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> </span>Thus it is extremely vital to thoroughly read over all the terms and conditions of a potential card.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> </span>Do not just jump on the offer because you are guaranteed to be approved.</span> About the Author

Answer by Renny76
I’ve searched online for a good prepaid debit card loaded with most of the features you listed; however, it’s a scare task to find one with all of the features you want. Off the top of my make, I’d suggest the Secure Deposit Card (SDC) Prepaid MasterCard I found here: http://www.charge-card-guide.com/_private/us_based_cards2.htm The basic benefits of this prepay debit card contain: no credit check, no security deposit, no employment verification, no bank account, 100% approval rate, re-loadable, direct deposit from your employer, no late fees or interest charges. There are also other prepaid debit cards that you can find on the above site to meet your require. Personally, I prefer the prepaid Visa card. Hope that helps!

Question by K.C.: What are the banks looking for when determining to approve or not approve someone for a secured credit card?
I am trying to rebuild my credit and was looking into getting a secured credit card ~ I know the approval isn’t guaranteed so what are banks looking for to approve someone Yes I have had credit problems in the past that have been corrected ~ problem is I only have my car loan open (no problems there) and that’s it which is why I’m looking to rebuild and show credibility ~ my credit score is between 605-619 depending upon the credit bureauFYI Please read the question ~I know how a secured credit card works!!!!!!!! How easy or hard is it to get one?

Best answer:

Answer by Steveo
Secured cards are easy. You can’t spend what you don’t have. You need to load up the account with cash. No cash loaded up, then no credit. So the amount of cash you load up is your credit limit.
